He is the son of the late Barbara Jean (Fisher) Dabbs and William Richard Dabbs. Wayne married Cynthia (Wade) on June 30, 1978. He spent 44 years married to the love of his life, raising three children along the way. Wayne graduated high school from Clarkston and following graduation he headed to the workforce. Wayne would later retire after serving 25 years as supervisor of custodial operations at Waterford School District. In his spare time, he was an avid golfer, who loved getting out and enjoying the beautiful courses of Michigan. He also enjoyed the thrill of the casino, where you could find him playing one of his favorite games, Keno. Wayne was also known for his love of animals. This love grew during retirement, moving to Fife Lake, MI, where he was able to enjoy and watch the wildlife right behind their home. But, above all, he was a family man, who loved spending time with his friends and family. Wayne will be missed by all and remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Wayne will be lovingly remembered by his wife; daughters Tammy (Jeff) Lucas of Waterford, MI, Freedom (Jay) Gaw of Clarkston, MI; son Brett Dabbs of Waterford, MI; sisters Carolyn Blay, and Mary Cork; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Trish Mooney, and Alice Mooney; and brothers Mitch Mooney and Dennis Mooney.
