Concordia University Ann Arbor opens undergraduate applications for 2022-23

ANN ARBOR – Bachelor applications for the 2022-23 academic year are now open to students interested in Concordia University Ann Arbor.

If you’re here reading this post, it is possible that you know a few things about Concordia University Ann Arbor.

We want you to learn much more about this place that nearly 1,200 current students lovingly call home. We hope that one day CUAA will be your home too.

Take part: EVERYTHING IN!

Above all, you know: At Concordia University Ann Arbor, we are ALL IN. All. This means that every single student is personally known and loved. We can’t wait to get to know you too. Lecturers and employees regularly demonstrate this commitment in the classroom, in the halls and in the fields, which is something special, but not unusual, for a small private school.

What makes the CUAA unusual is that our entire community (faculty, staff, alumni, and other students) go out of their way to support and look after one another in life and for life. You will not find this commitment anywhere else.

The Vice President of Administration, Rev. Dr. Ryan Peterson describes the campus culture as “high challenge, high support”. Peterson: “We have high expectations of our students, but then we reassure them that they are not alone. We accompany you every step of the way. “

Peterson, as the executive director of the campus, literally walks next to students, runs next to students, prays with students, studies with students (often at his home), cheers among students, and even stands on her shoulders when frequently picked up on top of the Pyramid by the cheer team at sporting events.

When you visit the CUAA campus, you will become Rev. Dr. Meet Peterson. He makes sure of that.

“No matter what I do, nothing is more important than welcoming prospective students and their families to campus,” says Peterson.

Peterson sets the ALL IN stage, which is fully embraced across campus.

Here are some more unique ALL IN examples:

  • Concordia Karaoke – Thanks to karaoke enthusiast and campus pastor Randy Duncan (aka “P-Dunc”), group singing to the classics is an integral part of CUAA meetings.

  • Football Tailgates – The Concordia Cardinals’ exciting matchday environment includes a community-wide tailgate tradition after home football games that has become a highlight of campus life at CUAA.

  • The CARDYs – An unusual annual gala for students, faculty, and staff, with everyone dressing up and recognizing another year of accomplishments, based on The ESPYs annual awards show.

  • Broadcasting Service – A campus-wide service that the entire community visits every semester for students doing an internship, a teaching semester, a family internship, and studying abroad.

  • Blessing of the Hands – A meaningful celebration that blesses each new foster cohort.

More than friends

We know what you’re thinking, “That sounds great if I was just looking for my next group of friends, but I have to choose a college that will help me be prepared for life.”

There’s a lot more to know about us than our cool community atmosphere.

I am sure you know that we are a Christian community and that it is very important that we know and care for one another. You may know that we are the cardinals and that nearly 60 percent of our men and women are student athletes. Hopefully you also know that we have a beautiful campus on the Huron River in Ann Arbor, Michigan. We like to say, “We have a riverside location in a Big Ten city.”

Now we come to the academic programs. We offer 60 different choices from five different academic schools: Arts and Science, Business, Education, Health Professions, and Nursing. As the CUAA has grown exponentially in recent years, the university has made significant investments in a new academic building that will support all of our health and nursing programs, and the development of high-demand programs in nursing, exercise training, and a whole range of health professions.
