A Michigan hospital chain and anesthesiology practice were hit by federal antitrust lawsuits over their alleged plan to cut wages for certain workers by entering into a no-enticement pact not to recruit each other’s anesthesia providers .
The proposed class action lawsuit is against Munson Healthcare, which describes itself as the largest healthcare system in northern Michigan, and Traverse Anesthesia Associates PC, a medical practice that serves several hospitals and outpatient facilities near Traverse City.
Munson spokesman Brian Lawson told Bloomberg Law in a statement Tuesday that the health system had “just been made aware of this case.”
