Ann Arbor man found fatally shot on Thanksgiving morning

WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI – An Ann Arbor man was fatally shot and killed during a fight outside a Ypsilanti community apartment complex on Thanksgiving morning, police said.

Von Cratic, 22, was found dead by police on November 25 after responding to multiple reports of gunfire fired at the Villas apartment complex, according to the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s office.

Police were called to Block 200 on Golfside Road at 10:34 a.m. to receive multiple reports of gunfire in the area and a man on the ground, police said.

Police arrived in the area and found Cratic dead at the scene, police said.

Initial investigations suggest Cratic and another man, 23, got into an argument that is escalating, according to police.

The 23-year-old man is currently in police custody and is being questioned about the incident, police said.
