Wayne, Detroit, Ann Arbor McDonald’s Offer COVID-19 Vaccine and Flu Shots

Didn’t have time to get the COVID-19 vaccine? Well, now you can get it with your morning coffee and Egg McMuffin.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Blue Cross Complete of Michigan, and Wayne Health have partnered with three McDonalds locations in the metropolitan area of ​​Detroit to provide free COVID-19 vaccinations, COVID-19 booster and flu shots, as well as blood pressure, diabetes, and cholesterol Screenings of kidney function.

Wayne’s location at 35111 West Michigan Avenue is one of three participating franchises.

The pop-up clinic is open on Tuesday, December 7th, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. All persons aged 5 and over are eligible to participate; prior registration is not required. All vaccinations take place in the parking lot next to the drive-through lane.

In addition to the clinics, franchise owners Joni Thrower and Monique Vann-Brown decided to offer vaccine recipients “Be Our Guest” cards that can be redeemed for a McCafé drink. McCafé beverages include coffee, smoothies, and hot chocolate from McDonald’s.

According to a press release, the clinics should make vaccines and health care available to the population. Blue Cross, Blue Cross Complete, and Wayne Health encourage unvaccinated community members to stop by.

Two other pop-up clinics are also offered on Metro Detroit:

  • Monday, December 13, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., McDonald’s, 14204 W. Seven Mile, Detroit.
  • Wednesday, December 15, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., McDonald’s, 2675 Plymouth, Ann Arbor.
