LANSING, Michigan (WILX) – There’s lots of Halloween fun going on in Lansing this weekend.

Lock your doors and board up the windows! The 11th Annual Downtown Lansing Zombie Walk returns with a special Devil’s Night edition on Saturday, October 30th, 2021 and registration begins at 4:00 p.m. at the Lansing Center by Exhibition Hall C.

Hikers must PURCHASE TICKETS to enter, and undead of all ages are welcome. Presale prices are only $ 5 each and your whole horde can enter with a “Buy five, get one for free” ??? hand out. Your ticket includes entry to How-To Halloween and entry to the competition before the legendary walk begins. Children under 3 years of age enter free and there is a small eTix fee for all online sales. The ticket price increases to USD 10 on the day of the hike and is available at the box office.

Zombies who bring donations to the Greater Lansing Food Bank will be entered into a drawing for a prize package worth US $ 100. The Walking Dead are invited to the main stage at 5:00 p.m. to take part in our Best Zombie Contest (with categories for adults and children) for a total prize package worth over $ 200. Thereafter, the horde members receive instructions before they are unleashed on the unsuspecting citizens. Traffic will stall as we slowly make our way to the Capitol steps for the most terrifying photo shoot Mid-Michigan has ever seen.

Just down the street is the Carnival of the Creative.

The Carnival of the Creative returns for the Halloween 2021 season. The Artist’s Umbrella and Downtown Lansing Inc. will present this year’s iteration on Saturday, October 30th from 7pm to 9pm on the South Capitol Parking Ramp in Downtown Lansing. There will be several “trunk-or-treat” stations on the ramp. Entry to the event is $ 20.00 per vehicle and you pay when you enter the ramp. Due to height restrictions, vehicles larger than ‘6 feet, 6 inches’ cannot pass through the Creative Carnival.

To order tickets, visit: www.eventbrite.com/e/the-artists-umbrella-and-dli-present-carnival-of-creatives-tickets-188828780967 while attendees begin to climb the ramp from the comfort of their vehicle , you will start past a wide variety of performers and visual artists, all of whom are dressed in Halloween-themed clothing and costumes.

“We are very excited to be part of this unique Halloween event for the second year running and to showcase some amazing talent from here in our community,” said Brandon Navin, Founder and CEO of Artist’s Umbrella.

Performers and artists for the Carnival of the Creative will be stationed throughout the South Capitol Parking Ramp and include musicians, dancers, poets, circus performers, and visual artists. Show will curate the performers and artists, as well as light, sound and production for the event. Downtown Lansing Inc. will provide sponsorship and red tape to help make this event a success.

A generous portion of the proceeds from the event will go directly to the artists and creatives who will be part of the show that evening.
