ANN ARBOR – After an action-packed fourth week board, there was movement and excitement in the high school football rankings in the Ann Arbor area.

10. Ann Arbor Pioneer (0-3)
Previous ranking: No. 10
Last week’s result: lost 17-8 to Ann Arbor Skyline
The Pioneers struggled but still failed to bring Jimmy Williams his first win as head coach in the game against rival Skyline.
9. Ann Arbor father Gabriel Richard (1-3)
Previous ranking: No. 8
Last week’s result: Beat Riverview Gabriel Richard 14-7
The Fighting Irish took their first win in the Jon Robinson era after a rough first three weeks of the season.
8. Ann Arbor Skyline (1-3)
Previous ranking: No. 9
Last week’s result: Beat Pioneer 17-8
The Eagles have had an 8-game losing streak from last season and have now beaten rival Pioneer for consecutive seasons and three times in their last four games.
7. Whitmore Lake (3-1)
Previous ranking: No. 6
Last week’s result: lost 32-28 to Lutheran Westland
The Trojans dropped 19 points in the fourth quarter after losing their first game of the season last week.
6. Ypsilanti Lincoln (1-3)
Previous ranking: No. 7
Last week’s result: 44-34 lost to Dexter
Lincoln had a tough schedule but has faced some of the best teams in the region, including a strong performance against Dexter.
5. Milan (3-1)
Previous ranking: No. 4
Last week’s result: lost 21-15 to Monroe St. Mary Catholic Central
The Big Reds missed an important conference match last week but still have a ton to play in 2021.
4. Skill (3-1)
Previous ranking: No. 5
Last week’s result: Beat Ypsilanti Lincoln 44-34
The Dreadnaughts bounced back with another explosive offensive performance, starting 3-1 for the second time in three years.
3. Ann Arbor Huron (3-1)
Previous ranking: No. 3
Last week’s result: Beat Temperance Bedford 31-30
The River Rats have improved dramatically this season with an important win over Bedford, proving once again that they are an elite team in the Ann Arbor area.
2. Chelsea (3-0)
Previous ranking: No. 2
Last week’s result: Idle (victory lost)
Chelsea tried to find an opponent last week after Pinckney canceled but had to settle for a losing win. In the long run, a week off might be good for the Bulldogs as they will have fresh legs in the second half of the regular season.
1. Saline solution (4-0)
Previous ranking: No. 1
Last week’s result: Beat Monroe 34-7
The Hornets remain the top team in the region and, despite the injuries they sustained this fall, are one of the best teams in the state. Her offense fires from behind second QB CJ Carr and her defense has allowed fewer points in the next game in each of her four competitions this year.
