University of Michigan Police are investigating the threat of online shootings targeting women on the Ann Arbor campus

DETROIT – University of Michigan police are investigating a message posted on a Russia-operated confessions website describing a plot for an active gunfight against women on the school campus in Ann Arbor on October 4th.

According to the police, the year was not given and the post was removed.

“On October 4th, I’m going to the University of Michigan and blown every single woman I see with an AR-15. Because the #MeToo movement proved that Elliot Rodgers was right and that these animals deserved to die. I watch Plymouth happen with a smile on my face. It was the first time in years that I smiled. There is a violent pro-male revolution coming and you guys better prepare for it, ”read the threat posted on the website.

In response to the threat, the police issued a statement.

“The safety of our community is our top priority. The UM Police Department is working with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies to investigate this item, “police said in a statement.


“Out of the utmost caution and to help those who have concerns, the University of Michigan Public Safety and Security Department will provide additional staff and other mitigation measures.”

The police thanked those who came forward to report the disturbing news.
