  • October 20, 2021: Planning the water future of Ann Arbor

A number of threats to the health and safety of drinking water exist in Ann Arbor and there are a number of important decisions to be made in the near future. The focus of the discussions is whether the city’s water supply should be kept autonomous and invested in local facilities or the necessary infrastructure should be created to draw water from the Detroit system. Either way, there will be a hefty price tag. WEMU’s David Fair took a look at where it stands and where it is going with Brian Steglitz, Manager of Water Treatment Services in Ann Arbor. If you have any questions or ideas for future trade fair topics, please contact Mary Mathias Lapp.
