MHSAA winter sports activities; wrestling finals in Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids

The locations are earmarked for the Michigan High School Athletic Association’s winter sports finals scheduled for late March and early April.

The big change: The wrestling singles final will be split between Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids. Under the previous plan, where all games were scheduled for the Kalamazoo Wings Events Center, wrestlers should be limited to a single spectator per participant. Now Divisions 1 and 3 will stay in Kalamazoo on April 2nd and 3rd, while Divisions 2 and 4 will compete on the same days at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids.

In addition, Van Andel and East Lansing’s Breslin Center will split the championship rounds into boys ‘basketball, girls’ basketball and competition cheers, with the cheering going entirely to Breslin from March 26-27.
