Ann Arbor’s SCRAP Creative Reuse to give away teaching materials during the Teacher Appreciation Days

ANN ARBOR, me. – Teachers can prepare for the upcoming school year with free materials from Ann Arbor’s SCRAP Creative Reuse.

Between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. on August 13 and 14, tax-exempt qualifying teachers can stop by a nonprofit reuse organization supply desk to fill a bag with pens, pencils, crayons, markers, and other craft or teaching materials.

Teachers must show their teacher ID or tax-exempt paperwork to receive materials while they last.

“We have a long tradition of supporting our local educators at SCRAP. We want to continue to be a creativity and reuse resource for local educators. We value our teachers and schools very much and know how tough the last year has been. We want to make sure we can offer some support, ”said Claire Tyra, director of SCRAP Creative Reuse, in a press release.

Anyone who submits their tax-exempt documents to SCRAP before the start of the school year takes part in a raffle for two gift vouchers and receives a 10% discount on their purchase.

At the beginning of this year the organization opened a virtual shop for online orders.

SCRAP is located at 4567 Washtenaw Ave.
