WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI – On a Wednesday in October, life circulates on the 12 acres that have housed Ann Arbor Community Farm for about three decades.

Lynk the kitten plunders between the ankles of an elderly couple who are on their way to pick eggplants and parsley, and evades 3-year-old Henry on his “horse”, an apple picker held between his legs. The boy is wearing a miniature version of the overalls that farmer Dan Gannon wore, fresh from helping install a new metal roof on one of the barns.
