More about health-oriented programs at the CUAA

Ronald and Marvel Jones School of Nursing

The Ronald and Marvel Jones School of Nursing started its first cohort in fall 2016 and has been completing a class of compassionate nurses every semester since fall 2018. The ultra-modern center for simulation and innovation in the care wing comprises five hospital rooms, eight clinic rooms, a 10-bed competence laboratory that functions as an emergency room, a three-room apartment and a courtroom. The rooms are used daily as a backdrop for a large number of inpatient and outpatient simulations.

School of Arts and Sciences

Graduates of the Masters in Athletic Training from Concordia University Ann Arbor step onto the field as professionals for the first time, with some scoring points in Division 1 sports programs immediately after graduation. As a relatively new program at CUAA, two cohorts of graduates have completed the five-year program. The first group of students in May 2020 and again in May 2021. Many students considering a career in the medical field can choose to study movement sciences, pharmacy, biomedicine or biology.

School for Health Professions

The CUAA School of Health Professions (SHP) recently celebrated the launch of its physician assistant program, welcoming first class of students in January 2021 and a second class of PA students from January 2022. Also included in the CUAA’s SHP are current undergraduate offerings in social work, diagnostic medical sonography, radiological technology, and rehabilitation science.
