Clearer and cooler Sunday night

DETROIT – And welcome to Sunday night, Motown.

Rain leaves Detroit and southeast Michigan tonight. As it moves away, the mercury decreases. It gets chilly in the morning. Tomorrow afternoon it will be light and warmer. The first week of August will feel like a summer with more sunshine and above average hot conditions at the end.

Sunday night the sky becomes clearer and we can sleep safely with the windows open. It’s going to be a pleasant night as we cool off with night lows in the 50s.

Monday is getting sunnier and warmer. With enough sunshine, the high temperatures will be closer to 80 ° F.

The average high temperature this time of year is in the low 80s and will approach these marks on Tuesday and Wednesday. There is plenty of sunshine on both days and the humidity remains pleasant.

Thursday and Friday it will be sunny and even warmer. Highs will be in the mid-1970s.


Saturday afternoon temperatures will hit the upper 80s with mostly sunny skies.
