Brighter and much warmer Sunday afternoon

DETROIT – Welcome to Sunday, Motown.

The clouds are getting thinner and thinner and it will be a lot warmer when it gets lighter this afternoon.

It will be interesting to see if we can hit another record temperature in less than seven days. The clouds are lowering tonight and tonight, thickening with raindrops hitting the ground. Overnight and tomorrow there is a better chance of widespread rain. Urgently needed rain is also possible on Tuesday.

Sunday afternoon has beautiful hang gliding weather again. The wind blows in a lot of summer air with temperatures rising well into the low 80s. The record temperature in 2018 was 85 degrees. We’re almost going to tie them, and when we do it will be the second time in a week. The sky is partly to mostly sunny.

The sunset is at 8:34 pm

Sunday evening is mostly cloudy. In the 70s it gets warm with temperatures.

The showers come on Sunday evening and it will be mild to cool. The overnight lows will be in the 50s and 60s.

Moderate drought continues to plague the entire lower peninsula. Monday will be rainy relief for our lawns, gardens and crops. Light to moderate rain continues to spread. It will be mild with afternoon temperatures close to 70 degrees.
