Biden To Visit General Motors’ Electric Vehicle Plant In Detroit On Nov. 17 – CBS Detroit

DETROIT (CBS Detroit) – President Joe Biden will visit General Motors’ ZERO facility in Detroit on Wednesday, November 17, according to a statement from the automaker.

The company will greet the president when it opens “the doors to its all-electric assembly plant in the heart of Detroit and Hamtramck, Michigan.”

“Factory ZERO is the culmination of GM’s multi-billion dollar US investment in people, products and processes. The electric trucks, SUVs and autonomous vehicles built in Factory ZERO will change GM and the automotive industry, ”said GM’s statement.

The Detroit News reports that it will be Biden’s first visit since October when he went to Howell to discuss infrastructure issues. He is expected to revisit the issue during his visit on Wednesday.
