TMSG: The 90-year-old helps Lansing Police Department patrol the River Trail

LANSING, Mich (WLNS) – At 90, Al Cosper volunteered regularly to help the Lansing Police Department patrol the Lansing River Trail. It does this through the retired and senior volunteer programs in Ingham, Eaton and Clinton counties, also known as the RSVP.

Cosper is one of approximately 300 RSVP volunteer workers in the Tri-County area who perform a variety of tasks in their communities, including patrolling the River Trail, helping children in schools, working with active military and their families as well as welcoming newcomers to the region. Help in senior and health centers and much more.

In this week’s Tell Me Something Good report, 6 newscasters Chivon Kloepfer and chief photojournalist Dave Parks take you on the drive to see how many volunteers are making a difference on the River Trail.
