Lane closings on Ashley and Madison Streets in Ann Arbor
ANN ARBOR, MI – There will be road closures on Ashley and Madison Streets in Ann Arbor on Friday June 18.
The closure of the south-facing lanes on Ashley Street between Madison and Mosley Streets and the east-facing lanes on Madison Street between First and Ashley Streets begins at 7 a.m., officials said.
Vehicles traveling south on Ashley Street will be diverted west on Madison Street, then south on First Street, and east on Mosley Street back to Ashley Street, officials said. Vehicles traveling east on Madison Street will be diverted south on First Street, then east on Mosley Street, north on Ashley Street back to Madison Street.
Local traffic will be maintained on Madison and Ashley Streets, and local businesses will remain open and accessible, officials said. Pedestrian traffic is maintained on one side of the street at all times.
The closings are part of Ann Arbor’s First and Ashley Improvements project, which aims to create a road that will attract more people and make the road safer and more comfortable for all users, officials said.
