The popular restaurant in Lansing Area is moving to the Sports Bar des Champions
After 20 years of business in Holt, Champion’s Sports Bar & Grill closed its doors in February.
I didn’t live in the Lansing area for very long, but I was quite amazed that they closed because Caddy and I were there the whole time we moved here.
It’s always sad to see how a business goes and we all know change can be difficult, but the building will now be the home of Gravity Smokehouse & BBQ.
The restaurant’s owners Bruce Kring and James Stine are excited to move their business to a larger location, according to the Lansing State Journal. The new building gives them the ability to add more indoor seating, expand their menu and add a full bar.
Kring and Stine hope to open their doors again next month. Kring tells the Lansing State Journal that everything depends on COVID-19 restrictions.
We’re trying to measure it right. We are keeping an eye on COVID and hope there are no more setbacks or bans.
Since this building is larger than the building that Gravity Smokehouse is currently in, it can seat up to 150 people.
After the expansion, new menu items such as starters and burgers with half a pound brisket will also be available. A full bar with 30 beers on tap and cocktails. If you are interested in the current menu from Gravity Smokehouse, you can visit their website.
