ANN ARBOR, MI – Dexter High School hosted a football game at Huron High School on Friday night this week.

The River Rats dominated most of the first half, but Dexter was able to find the end zone just before half-time and stood at 14-7.

Huron’s marching band wore pink ribbons on their uniforms, and the cheering team danced in pink t-shirts and ribbons during their performance in honor of the first day of breast cancer awareness raising.

Both teams returned with renewed intensity in the second half of the game. In the final minutes the score was 28-21 and the Dexter Dreadnaughts were on the hunt for a touchdown to tie the game.

As the student sections got louder and the tension became more palpable, Huron’s defense stepped up and secured a turnover, which ended Dexter’s End Drive.
