Skyline’s outstanding athlete claims the Player of the Week award

Ismail Abdul-Aziz has been one of Skyline’s most consistent players this fall. Whether on the offensive, on the defensive or in special teams, when the Eagles needed a game, Abdul-Aziz was there to deliver.

Last week, the junior athlete helped the Eagles beat Pioneer to their first win of the season with a 5-yard rushing touchdown that also helped end an eight-game losing streak.

Thanks to this achievement, Abdul-Aziz was named Ann Arbor High School Footballer of the Week in the most competitive poll of the season.

Abdul-Aziz received 20,094 of a total of 61,702 votes to beat Ann Arbor’s James Kendzicky Father Gabriel Richard, who finished second with 18,626 votes.

Check out this week’s poll results below and be sure to come back next week to vote on Tuesday.
