LANSING, me. – A man and a woman were found dead in a house in Lansing early Saturday morning, police said.

Police found the couple just before 2 a.m. when responding to a report of a shooting in a house on the 600 block off Baker Street.

The police have not identified a suspect.

“This is really a tragedy. LPD will use every resource and partnership necessary to hold everyone involved accountable. As a community, we owe it to the victims and their families, ”Lansing Police Chief Daryl Green said in a statement.

This is Lansing’s seventh and eighth murders this year. That’s more than double the number of murders the city had around that time last year, and 2020 would be a record year for murders in Lansing.
