House a ‘whole write’ in Lansing Fire

LANSING, Michigan (WLNS) – A Lansing home is totaled after being burned by a fire in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The Lansing firefighters were originally called to the location of the building fire on the 900 block of Johnson Street in Lansing at around 1:20 a.m. on Sunday morning.

When news came in, three Lansing Fire units were on site with more than a dozen first responders handling the fire. Officials tell 6 News that while the information is still limited, they feel the house is a write-down but that no one was injured because the house was empty.

Neighbors say it is currently unclear if anyone lives in the house.

The officers continue to investigate how the fire broke out. This is an evolving story so stay tuned for 6 News on air, online, and on our 6 News app for updates.
