Lindsay “Lindy” Edward Witucki, age 73, passed away on May 23, 2022 at home in Benzonia Michigan. He was born on January 23, 1949 in Grand Rapids, the son of Edward Witucki and Eleanor (Beekman) Witucki.
He graduated from West Catholic High School in Grand Rapids and upon completion enlisted and honorably served his country in the US Navy. On August 3, 1974 he and Cheryl (Nyp) were joined in marriage in Wyoming, Michigan. In March of 1984 they were blessed with the birth of their daughter Kristine.
Lindy’s years of work included being a maintenance supervisor at Carpenter Enterprises in Traverse City MI, before opening his own small engine repair shop. The family moved to Benzonia in 1985 where he owned and operated Lindy’s Lawn Service until his retirement.
He served as secretary for the Beulah/Benzonia Lions Club, and also served on the Benzonia Village Council from 1992-1998.
Lindy is survived by his wife of 47 years, Cheryl, his daughter Kristine (Roy) McMahon and grandson Braden Edward McMahon of Arvada CO, and his sister Teryl (Witucki) Javin of Traverse City.
