ANN ARBOR, me. – Make fun of everything, but the pumpkin and spice latte ushered in an era of fall-inspired beverages.

From hot apple cider to maple latte, spiced seasonal drinks appear on café menus at this time of year. But if the king of fall drinks isn’t your thing, the cafes in Tree Town come up with creative ways to get you in the seasonal spirit.

Here’s our guide to fall flavors around Ann Arbor:

BLACK DIESEL COFFEE (1423 E. Stadium Blvd.)

If you are looking for something cold on warm autumn days, you can turn to Black Diesel for a maple cream cold brew. If that’s not enough, try the dramatic and creepy looking Burnt Marshmallow Latte.

19 DROPS (2263 W. Liberty St.)

Little Ann Arbor cafe on the Westside announced its list of fall drinks on social media in early October. It serves pumpkin seasoning, maple syrup and salted caramel lattes and hot apple cider.


VERTEX COFFEE TOASTERS (1335 S. University Ave.)

Spice up your life with a jack o ‘latte made from pumpkin puree and flavored syrup from the South University cafe. If that’s too scary, Vertex’s seasonal menu also has a maple brulee latte.

M36 Coffee Roaster (1101 S. University Ave.)

Get a bag of Autumn Spice coffee beans from the newest addition to the Ann Arbor coffee scene. Order online through the M36 website or visit the new coffee shop on South University Avenue.

CAHOOTS CAFE (206 E. Huron St.)

Enjoy a basic witch, pumpkin chai, or fig and cardamom latte in the hidden outdoor area of ​​the Cahoots Cafe on the alley on East Huron Street.



Grab a pumpkin and spice latte, chaider (chai and cider), or a cup of Tree Town mix. According to the Roos Roast website, the coffee “pays homage to autumn in Ann Arbor” and tastes of caramel, cocoa and stone fruit.


Stop at one of the Sweetwaters locations around Ann Arbor for a great pumpkin latte or a spice caramel apple made with chai spice cider, caramel, and whipped cream.
