Daily Covid-19 minute: signs of a blood clotThe headlines about the Johnson & Johnson vaccine have been all over the place, so knowing the signs of a blood clot to look out for is important. When we think of blood clots, we usually speak of those that come off our legs and form there. You have symptoms such as swelling or pain in your leg, red or discolored skin in the area, and a feeling of warmth. With this type of blood clot, it gets into your lungs and can be dangerous. This leads to shortness of breath, rapid pulse and difficulty breathing. These are all signs that you need to go to an emergency room right away. With the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, officials are concerned about a different type of blood clot. This clot forms in your brain, so symptoms will vary too. These symptoms include severe headache, blurred vision, fainting, difficulty speaking, and seizures. Keep in mind that the chance of having one of these blood clots after the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is extremely rare, like one in a million, but if something goes seriously wrong and you have just received your Johnson & Johnson shot within the past few weeks Make sure you call your doctor.
