Detroit Lions offseason predictions with ESPN’s Michael Rothstein

We’re less than two weeks from the start of the NFL Free Agency. While the next few weeks can be a bloodbath of unfortunate losses, the following weeks are some of the most exciting days on the NFL offseason calendar. Free Agency and the NFL Draft are the most important days for a team building a franchise, and we are not far from these crucial moments.

This week, on our Midweek First Byte podcast, we put Detroit Lions beatwriter Michael Rothstein of ESPN on the show to make his predictions about what would happen. What exactly will happen to Kenny Golladay and what is the future of the quarterback position in Detroit? Could we see a draft at seven in total?

We also discuss the current Lions power structure. Rothstein agrees with us that Sheila Ford Hamp’s concerns are all ridiculous, but there is something to be said about too many executives in the room when it comes to hiring decisions. Brad Holmes, Dan Campbell, Ray Agnew, John Dorsey and Chris Spielman. Will peace and harmony really be as simple as Lions imagine it to be?
