Dangerous vacant home cleaned up on Detroit’s west side

Local residents concerned about drugs and criminal activity in the area

Crews were out today to help clean up the mess while covering the eyesore of a vacant home in west Detroit.

DETROIT – Crews are cleaning up a mess around a derelict home on Detroit’s west side after Local 4 contacted the mayor’s office.

Neighbors reached out to the Help Me Hank team with their concerns about the home. They said they are so scared of drug and crime in the area that they don’t want to speak on camera.

The mayor’s office was so aggressive in fighting the plague. Complaints about rotting and illegal disposal can be submitted through the Improve Detroit App.
