Chilly last day of winter before weekend sunshine

Good Friday morning!

It’s cool and fittingly it’s the last day of winter. Do you enjoy seeing spring on the way? Or do you wish, like me, that we had a little more winter?

Anyway, it clears and cools down with temperatures between the low and mid 20s on Friday, but the wind chill is in the middle teens when you hit the road. So make sure you are bundled up.

Sunrise is at 7:38 am

We may be able to shed a shift later on Friday with tons of sunshine and heights well into the mid 40s. The wind has eased a bit, but we are still expecting a steady NNE 10-20 mph breeze that maintains the “feel” temperatures of the 20’s and 30’s today.

The sunset is at 7:45 p.m.

Spring – also known as Vernal Equinox – arrives at 5:57 a.m. on Saturday, and Mother Nature is at the counter as we warm up nicely. The morning lows on Saturday are again in the lower to mid 20s with light winds and clear skies. In Metro Detroit, temperatures will go back to the 1950s and there will be more and more sunshine.

Sunday is getting even warmer after a morning low of 30 ° F. Look for highs of 60 ° F to end the weekend with mostly sunny skies.

We’re going back to work and school on Monday next week with warmer weather and more sunshine. The highs will be in the lower 60s on Monday, but there are minor changes along the way.

Tuesday will bring more clouds with mild temperatures in the upper 50s to low 60s. We have a good chance of late Tuesday and early Wednesday showers, and with those mild temperatures – it’s all raining baby!

We will see 50s to 60s by the end of the work and school week.
