A person shot dead in Briarwood Mall in Ann Arbor told police it was not a random incident

ANN ARBOR, me. (WXYZ) – Ann Arbor police say a man was shot dead in a shop on Briarwood Mall Friday afternoon.

Police say this is not an active shooter situation and they believe it was not an accidental act.

Police say the suspect (s) are currently unknown and no suspect is being arrested.

The shooting took place in the Von Maur store in the mall. The victim is an 18-year-old man who was shot in the arm. He is expected to be fine.

Police are still clearing the mall and said the investigation is still ongoing.
