6 useless, 1 injured in small plane crash in northern Mexico | Nation/World News

MEXICO CITY (AP) – A small plane bound for Arizona crashed in northern Mexico’s border state of Sonora on Saturday, killing six people and injuring another.

The Cessna was launched from the town of Hermosillo, Sonora on a flight to Tucson, Arizona when it crashed shortly after takeoff.

Among the dead was Leonardo Ciscomani, an economic development officer for the Sonoran state government. The pilot was also among the dead.

Prosecutors said the cause of the crash was being investigated.
