Who won’t play in Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Inexperienced Bay Packers NFC Championship playoff sport

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will have to forego Antonio Brown in their NFC championship game, a fact known since Brown was revealed in Friday’s injury report. However, the team had one player whose status for Sunday’s game was in doubt: rookie safety Antoine Winfield Jr., who was in doubt due to an ankle injury sustained in training.

In this respect, too, the news is not good. Winfield has been put on the team’s inactive list and is replaced by Mike Edwards in the Bucs defense. Winfield, recently named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team, was one of the best playmakers in the Bucs’ defense, as evidenced by his groundbreaking forced fumble in New Orleans last weekend. Rookie Javon Hagan, who was removed from the training team on Saturday, will join Andrew Adams as a reserve in the security position.

However, the Bucs will once again contribute to the defense as defender Vita Vea is one of the active players on the team for the game. He was just activated on Friday from the injured reserve.

The Buccaneers announced their inactive list at 1:35 p.m. ET, 90 minutes before their scheduled kick-off against Green Bay. After removing Hagan and security guard Ted Larsen from the training team on Saturday, the Bucs had 55 players to choose from, meaning they had to declare seven of them inactive to hit the game day limit of 48.
