Manmeet Ahluwalia, MD, FACP, MBA, has been named associate director of the Detroit Cancer Institute of Baptist Health.
Ahluwalia – a neuro-oncologist whose research focuses on primary brain tumors and brain metastases – will also serve as the scientific director and chief of medical oncology for solid tumors.
“We are confident that the innovation he will bring to our clinical trial efforts will benefit our patients and build our institute’s reputation.” Leonard Kalman, MD, Executive executive director and chief medical officer at the Detroit Cancer Institute said in a press release.

Manmeet Ahluwalia
Ahluwalia – a member of the HemOnc Today Editorial Board – previously served as Dean and Diane Miller Endowed Chair of Neuro-Oncology and Operations Director at the Cleveland Clinic’s Rose Ella Burkhardt Brain Tumor and Neuro-Oncology Center. He was also a professor in the medical department of Lerner College of Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic at Case Western Reserve University.
