Weather change coming for Ann Arbor, Detroit, and it has the S word

We’re definitely having a weather change in southeast Michigan. We enjoyed the spring-like weather, but now it’s back to a winter feeling.

For us in southeast Michigan, it will be until just before Thursday morning before we really feel the cold and see winter in the air.

Here’s the radar forecast from this morning through 6pm on Thursday.

Radar forecast from noon today to 6pm on Thursday.

We’ll mostly stay dry until Thursday morning. By this point, it’s going to be cold in the 30’s and we could have a few hours of snow showers all over the Ann Arbor and Detroit areas.

Here is the expected snow build-up in Michigan if that shovel of snow goes past Thursday afternoon.

Total snow possible from Wednesday to Thursday.

For Southeast Lower it would be only a half-inch of snow. Although Thursday will be cold and temperatures won’t be until their 40s, the snow will melt by noon. It’s a different story in northern Michigan, where a few inches of snow will build up.

Look for a temperature spike over the weekend when we could flirt at 60 degrees again.
