Unruly passenger throws fire extinguishers at bus drivers, police say

YPSILANTI, MI – A stubborn passenger was arrested Thursday afternoon after throwing a fire extinguisher at a bus driver, police said.

The police were called on November 11 at 12:07 p.m. in the area of ​​Adams and Washtenaw avenues because of the reported attack, the Ypsilanti Police Department announced.

The victim, a bus driver from the Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority, said a passenger got messy on the bus, grabbed a fire extinguisher and threw it at her, police said.

The passenger was arrested without incident and taken to Washtenaw County Jail to await charges of assault, police said.

Serious injuries were not reported.
