Turtle Creek Stadium will host a concert with Grammy-nominated country band Old Dominion on September 17th. The tickets should go on sale next week.
The stadium announced Tuesday that the band will perform with special guests Randy Houser, Matt Stell and Caitlyn Smit on a ballpark tour of North America this fall. The event is part of Old Dominion’s first headlining run since 2019. The group recently won Vocal Group of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards 2021 – for the fourth year in a row since 2018 – and was nominated at the Grammys for Best Country Duo / Group Performance and Best Country Song for their song Some People Do.
“Old Dominion fans can expect a number of high-frequency anthems, deep cuts and a handful of surprises,” Turtle Creek Stadium said in a publication. “Concert tickets will be sold to the following groups on the following dates.” ::
> Monday, May 24th – Old Dominion Fan Club members
> Tuesday May 25th – Pit Spitters sponsors, full and half year ticket holders, 10 game table map holders from Fox Motors Den
> Wednesday May 26th – Pit Spitters Five-Game, Ten-Game Mini-Plan Owners and Fox Motors Den-Plan’s Five-Game Owners
> Thursday, May 27th, 10am – date of public sale. Tickets can be found at www.PitSpitters.com.
“A big concert like this is another important step as we work to cement Turtle Creek Stadium as the premier outdoor entertainment facility in Northern Michigan,” said Mickey Graham, general manager of Pit Spitters I’ve been working since we took over the ballpark about bringing to the Traverse City area. Working with a band, the Old Dominion caliber is a perfect fit for what we’re working on. “
Turtle Creek Stadium determined that, like all stadium events, the concert will comply with state and local public health guidelines in force at the time of the show.
