The last lap of the isolated rain falls on Sunday evening

DETROIT – Welcome to Sunday evening, Motown.

One last round of isolated rain showers marches through the region on Sunday evening. Colder air and windy conditions are behind it for Sunday evening and Monday. Sunshine has been on the move for much of this week, with ups and downs in temperature.

Much more melted on Sunday, with cool to mild conditions in the region. The highs were in the 50s on Sunday afternoons.

Now lower temperatures are on the way, with a series of rain showers ahead of them. On Sunday evenings, temperatures drop from the 50s to the 40s, and it rains here and there across southeast Michigan. Precipitation will be light.

The showers end at midnight on Sunday. It’s getting colder and windier. The overnight lows will be in the mid and upper 20s. The wind speed increases to 15 to 25 miles per hour.

Wednesday will be sunnier and milder. Afternoon temperatures close to 50 degrees.

The cool weather returns on Thursday and Friday. Daytime temperatures are in the upper 30s and lower 40s with mostly sunny skies.
