We learned a year and a half ago that a new Corner Pub was coming at the Rogues’ Harbor Inn after longtime owner of the inn, Eileen Brennan Stout, recaptured the Lansing landmark from the 1830s. Renovations and, of course, a break from eating changed the schedule, but we’re delighted that the Corner Pub has now opened with longtime bartender Kerry Brace as the owner.
For a long time, the red-brick building had a restaurant, a tavern with a fully equipped bar, a veranda with outdoor seating, nine guest rooms, a ballroom and a function room on the third floor.
After winning back the business nearly two years ago, Stout spent several weeks renovating the guest rooms and reopening the inn to guests this summer. He converted part of the dining room on the first floor as a welcome room and gallery for their handcrafted jewelry and told us that they would rent out the former bar area.

Brace, who lived under Stout’s previous ownership in Rogues’ Harbor and until the brief interim owner closed it in 2018, worked “hard on remodeling” the Corner Pub in the former tavern, complete with a brand new kitchen.
Unsurprisingly, the Corner Pub menu features plenty of pub fare, including former Rogues’ Harbor favorites like wings, steak fries, and onion rings. A jumbo pretzel comes with warm pub cheddar dipping sauce, and tomato bruschetta is an alternative to the fried dishes.
The menu features well-known burgers and salads such as the rogues burger and a grilled portabella salad.
There are only a few full-size starters left, with wild mushroom ravioli, roast fish and a Delmonico steak in addition to the main menu item of the rogues – the chicken riggies. The classic rogues dish consists of rigatoni with pieces of chicken, hot peppers, red onions and olives in a cream sauce.
