Several art exhibitions come to Ann Arbor this Christmas season

ANN ARBOR – Galleries, venues and companies are hosting art exhibitions and markets featuring works by local artists this Christmas season.

Whether you are looking for gifts for others or you want to add new artwork to your home, the shows have a wide variety of pieces to choose from.

“Colors and Moods of the Season” at the Kerrytown Concert House

This show is now open and will run through January 4th at the Kerrytown Music Hall.

The exhibition is open to concert-goers on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on weekend evenings.

A large number of prints and paintings in numerous styles are shown at the exhibition. All works of art purchased in the holiday exhibition can be brought home on the same day.

The opening reception for the show will take place on December 9th from 6pm to 8pm

The Kerrytown Concert House is located at 415 N. 4th Avenue.

Art exhibition in the artist’s studio & gallery

The Artists’ Studio & Gallery is within walking distance of the Kerrytown Concert House and has a Christmas show at 310 Miller Street. The exhibition runs through January 2nd.

The exhibition will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. The opening times are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., but may change. Interested buyers should write Sophie Grillet at 734-757 3717 November 23-26 and Tom Rosenbaum at 734-395-3305 November 27 prior to their visit.

In the gallery on 10.12. An opening reception will take place in the gallery from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Purchased works of art can be taken home on the same day.

Holiday Artists Market at Gutman Gallery

The Guild of Artists & Artisans is holding their second annual Holiday Artist Market at the Gutman Gallery in downtown.

The shopping experience runs from November 26th to December. 23 and will feature works by 60+ artists, extended hours, artist suitcase shows, free Friday gift wrapping, and other promotions and special events.

Hours:

  • Tuesday-Thursday: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Saturday: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Gutman Gallery is located at 118 N. 4th Avenue.

York Winter Crafts Fair

YORK Food + Drink is holding its second annual YORK Artisan Market from December 4th to 5th. The market features paintings, jewelry, ceramics, specialty groceries, vintage clothing, and more by 30 local artisans.

Hours:

  • Saturday, December 4th: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

  • Sunday, Dec 5th: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The outdoor event also offers special menu items, live DJs and warm Christmas cocktails.

Some craftsmen are not only distributed in the courtyard of YORK, but are also housed in the neighboring studio studio.

YORK Food + Drink is located at 1928 Packard St.
