See the interior of the Graduate East Lansing Hotel

The view from the rooftop Rock Bar of the new Graduate East Lansing Hotel overlooks the Michigan State University campus and offers panoramic views of Spartan Stadium and to the west of the downtown Lansing skyline.

The hotel, which has been in the works for several years, is preparing to open on June 14th. The bar, which is about to open, will greet both the public and hotel guests.

The 194-room, $ 50 million hotel is located on Evergreen and Grand River Avenues across from campus.

The Graduate Rock Bar on the top floor of Graduate East Lansing is slated to open on June 14th.

On Wednesday, staff rushed to put the finishing touches on the bespoke interior, which features wall-to-wall themes from Michigan, MSU and East Lansing.

A Magic Johnson mural spinning a basketball made entirely of shoelaces greets guests as they enter the lobby, and everything from the carpets and mirrors to the wallpaper and lighting fixtures has a Michigan reference point.

“We’re proud to have an A-Plus location in university towns and to tell the story of East Lansing,” said Sarah Gregory, hotel manager and MSU alumnus.
