Police identify a man found dead in the water on the Lansing River Trail

LANSING, Michigan (WLNS) – A man found dead in the Red Cedar River has been identified as 60-year-old Dale Wayne Brown.

Brown was spotted face down in the water by a kayaker at around 6:14 p.m. on Sunday.

After the autopsy, investigators were able to confirm the man was Brown after reviewing medical records and verifying themselves with a family member.

More tests are still being done to determine the cause of death.

The initial investigation did not reveal any evidence of a crime.
