Person injured in Grand Rapids shooting near U.S. 131

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Police are investigating a shootout that injured a person near US 131.
The shooting was reported just before 6 p.m. on Wednesday, September 22, in the SW Logan Street and Century Avenue area.
One person was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Grand Rapids police said they were investigating whether any shots were fired from the freeway.
Further details about the shootings were initially not disclosed.
