Michigan’s toughest district tournament brackets for 2021 girls basketball playoffs
The tournament time for the girls ‘2021 high school hoops season is getting closer, and with that comes the tradition of filling out brackets and planning teams’ courses for a state championship.
Not all paths are created equal, and while the MHSAA has taken steps to reward the teams for their regular seasonal work, there will inevitably be some issues at next week’s district tournaments.
With that in mind, let’s take a look at the five toughest district tournaments in each division, based on the Michigan High School Athletic Association’s Michigan Power Ratings, which make up a team’s win percentage, their opponents win percentage, and their opponents ‘opponents’ win percentage.
The top two seeds get a round 1 reunion, but nothing gets easier in these competitive districts.
The teams that show up will be a battle-worn bunch advancing into the region. So follow along to see which squads are cut out for them in the opening rounds.
