Low 80s with some light showers possible

It’s mostly cloudy, and mostly in the mid-50s, when you’re out and about near Metro Detroit on that Wednesday morning. Spotty or spotty fog is possible in some rural areas, but no other problems. We’re going to be sailing into the 60s quickly this morning, with some milky sunshine when the sun comes up

Sunrise is at 6:08 am

The mid- and high-level clouds are moving in ahead of a warm front today, but the wet weather we need is well west of southeast Michigan and southern Ontario. We’ll see some light showers in a short window from 4pm to 7pm later in the afternoon. Don’t cancel your outdoor plans, have the Local4Casters app handy to view radar and showers that can cause slight delays. Highs will be SSE 5-12 mph in the upper 70s to low 80s with light winds.

The sunset is at 8:52 p.m.

The warm and somewhat humid air will flow into Metro Detroit on Thursday and especially on Friday and Saturday. The sky may only allow spotty sunshine with highs on Thursdays through the mid-80s. A stray pop-up in the afternoon is possible, but most of us don’t see a drop. The more sun, the better the chance of almost 90 ° F and almost record highs in our region. We’ll be flirting with record temperatures Thursday through Sunday or Monday.

You can expect a little more sunshine on Friday with highs in the upper 80s. A quick weather disturbance drifts through early Saturday morning and then we see sun and clouds again and the upper 80s. Some afternoon showers and storms are possible on Sunday, and more likely on Monday and Tuesday of the next week. Let’s hope so, because we need it!
