Lansing School District spends $ 1.5 million on clean air

Do you have an air purifier at home? I’ve invested in 3 over the past 10-15 years and I love it. There can be so much dust in your house and you wouldn’t even know if the sun wasn’t shining brightly. It helps me breathe better and I like the fact that I breathe cleaner air.

I think it’s great that the Lansing School District has spent $ 1.5 million on new air purification equipment and UV germicidal machines. This is because the students are preparing to study again in person under a hybrid model on March 22, according to fox47.com.

“Our goal is to get children back into school buildings in the safest possible environment,” said Gabrielle Lawrence, president of the Lansing School District Board of Education.

And that’s not all. The Lansing school district has already installed more than 400 of the 659 room air filter units. 8 of the UV light units are also used in classrooms as soon as the buildings are empty for the evening. What a great way to keep the kids healthy and smiling.

Here are the benefits of an air purifier at work, home, and school from amerisleep.com.

  • Relieves symptoms of asthma
  • Eliminates harmful chemicals from indoors
  • Neutralizes unpleasant odors
  • Reduces the chance of airborne diseases
  • Improves sleep
  • Removes harmful radon
  • Eliminates dangerous asbestos particles
  • Can increase life expectancy

And of course, this is another way we can protect us until the pandemic ends completely.
