Happy with the changes at Lake Lansing Park North?

If you know me you will know that I like to hike. Whenever the weather is pretty decent, I’m outside hiking or in my hammock. One of my favorite places is Lake Lansing Park North. It’s relatively close to my house and has over 10 miles of hiking trails.

Ingham County park officials announced they would like to improve some of the hiking trails in Lake Lansing Park North, which has sparked some conversation.

The change that some users disagree on

There is a suggestion to line the paths with crushed limestone. Tim Morgan, Ingham County’s parks director, says the stone is used on less than two miles of the trails to make them more even with the boardwalks.

We will target around 20% to make it generally available to all residents.

Lake Lansing Park North Enhancement Package

The project is expected to cost $ 1.5 million, according to the Lansing State Journal, and will include not only the crushed limestone, but fitness stations, reconstructed boardwalks, improved facilities, and new signage.

I will forever be grateful if they improve the signage because I am not going to lie, I get lost every time I leave. You’d think I’d found out how often I go by now, but hey, I never said I was the brightest crayon in the box.
