Family seeking justice for 21-year-old shot, killed nearly two years ago in Detroit

DETROIT – A family in Detroit seeks justice after shooting a 21-year-old man for nearly two years.

Dion Bridges was shot dead in a house on Schönherr Street near East Seven Road on July 4, 2019. Family members said Bridges was having a barbecue when someone started shooting from a nearby alley.

Bridges’ mother Jerreece Bridges asks anyone with information to come forward.

“When you take his life away from him, it just feels like you’ve ruined our life. We don’t know if the grief will ever stop, but we want justice. The person out there who knows they did that, I don’t know how to live with themselves, ”said Jerreece Bridges. “We want justice and that’s all we pray for.”

According to Crime Stoppers of Michigan, Bridges attended Osborne High School and aspired to become a restaurant owner.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $ 2,500 for information leading to an arrest.
