Detroit police arrest suspect after panhandler murdered outside gas station

A suspect related to the murder of a beggar in Detroit was arrested this week.

Police and community searched for the killer after Denez Dupree was shot dead outside a Clark gas station in Dexter and Collingwood on October 3.

The suspect spoke to Dupree and even gave him money before killing him.

Dupree was known for frequent visits to the gas station and sometimes refilling customers’ vehicles to change.

Detroit police called the shooting an “accidental execution”.
