RIVERVIEW, me. (FOX 2) – – A Detroit man faces charges after police allege he fired multiple shots outside a Riverview store Monday night.
Jamal Darius Parker, 19, is accused of carrying a hidden weapon, an attack with a dangerous weapon and a firearm.
Police said they received a call around 6:30 p.m. because someone fired gunshots in a company parking lot on the 19000 block on Fort Street. The police said no one was hit by the gunfire.
The caller gave a description of the shooter and a vehicle.
The officers said they saw the suspicious vehicle drive away and stopped it. A 20-year-old Riverview woman was arrested but not charged. Police found Parker in a nearby apartment complex shortly thereafter and arrested him without incident.
Parker’s bond was set at $ 50,000 / 10%. When depositing a bond, he must wear a GPS tether.
“This type of incident is rare in our community,” said Police Chief Ronald Beggs. “We will not tolerate this kind of dangerous, criminal behavior.”
