Concordia University Ann Arbor is holding a free Christmas concert on Thursday

The Concordia University Ann Arbor wind ensemble and orchestra will give a Christmas concert on Thursday, December 9th at 7:30 pm in the Black Box Theater.

The Christmas concert will feature a selection of classical music and traditional Christmas music by musicians from Concordia University Ann Arbor. This concert is free and open to the public, with a livestream option.

The wind ensemble will premiere a new piece composed by Nicole Piunno entitled Where Words Cannot Go. The work is about the sadness of death and loss, yet it is comforting and hopeful. This selection was made for the Christmas concert because for many people the holidays are both a time of sadness and joy.

The orchestra presents three music students from the CUAA upper class as soloists in Corelli’s Christmas concert – Kayla Pulley, Beck Johnson and Ben Kletzli.
